Legal and Traceable Wood

A rigorous selection process and the utmost attention to compliance with the EUDR Regulation, particularly with regard to documentation concerning logging permits and the import of timber into Europe, are activities that have been documented and carried out daily for many years and are essential to our timber sourcing process.

Wood is a natural and renewable resource, but it is truly sustainable only when it comes from legal and controlled sources. Responsible harvesting does not interrupt the life cycle of the forest: it supports its natural regeneration, encouraging the growth of new trees and healthy forests, while helping to preserve biodiversity, balance and the long-term stability of the ecosystem.

Its valuable qualities of versatility, workability, lightness and thermal resistance offer numerous advantages in use, as well as the ability to provide optimal thermal insulation, resulting in significant energy savings.

“MORE WOOD, FEWER KM”

The Cadorin brand identifies wood sourced from European forests located within a 1,000-kilometre radius of the company’s headquarters. By shortening timber supply distances, it helps reduce the climate impact caused by transport-related exhaust emissions, while at the same time promoting and supporting local forest resources.

SELECTED WOODS

This mark is adopted for exotic and precious species of wood selected from all over the world following careful research and scrupulous quality and origin checks.

Our SELECTED WOODS of legally felled timber offer various possibilities of choice:

FSC® CERTIFIED ORIGIN

These marks identify products taken from forests managed correctly and responsibly, in compliance with strict environmental protection standards in order to ensure their complete traceability.

CADORIN PLANK RATING

The Cadorin Plank Rating is an internal assessment system that analyses specific characteristics of the selected parquet, developed and structured according to the LEED® NC ITALIA 2009 criteria.

EUROPEAN DUE DILIGENCE STANDARDS

Every supply of Cadorin wood comes from forests authorized for felling as prescribed in 2023/1115EUDR (European Deforestation-free products Regulation), whose prime objective is to ensure the lawful origin of the wood and its products.
